Do I need to provide an employment contract to my employee?

My company is in New York. Do I need to sign an employment contract with my employee? Any law or website to support your answer?

Unless you have a union shop, you do not have to provide any employee with a contract.

The proof is the lack of a law saying you must provide a contract.
