For the wig you can simply tie it again. You can even style it to make it look better.
As for the contacts, I recommend that you read a manual or something. I understand your problem, for that was my problem when I first bought contacts. You placed the contacts in the wrong area of your finger. I
used to put in somewhere in this area of the finger:

But then I was told to move it upwards so it's pretty much like this:

As for the right side thing, that actually depends on the contacts. Some don't require you to pick the right. When I got my contacts, I asked that questioned, confused on the lack of the words 'right' and 'left' but then it turns out that any could be used as right or left. It was just that it was >recommended< that once the certain contacts was used for the right eye, it should always be used for the right. However, a little switch is fine when you're confused ,since it can be for both eyes.
