Beauty and the Briefcase movie question?

I just watched the movie Beauty and the Briefcase. In the movie, Lane falls in love with Liam. At one point in the movie she is no longer with Liam. Why did they break up? I got up during the movie and missed that part. Can anyone tell me what happened?

Liam told Lane he went back to England. However, Lane accidentally saw Liam in the restaurant they met. Liam is working as a waiter while his waiter friend and a lady are customers. Basically, Liam and his friend helped each other to get laid. Most things Liam told Lane are lies.
