本人現就讀中四，選修科為化學、經濟及物理，可是本人直到現時才發現對音樂有濃厚的興趣，也擬於音樂界一展所長，卻聽說係香港發展音樂係無所作為的(我阿媽講既，我唔係咁諗架，先至聲明)，亦聽聞本地大學音樂系競爭激烈，不容易考取學位。另外，本人也想於本港廣播界發展。
以下是一些困擾本人既問題：
1. 本人已考取鋼琴八級，樂理知識卻略嫌不足，又沒有修讀音樂(新高中課程)，那是否難以被音樂系取錄？
2.可否詳盡講述本地流行樂的發展概況？(阿媽認為係本地發展音樂係揾唔到食喎，但係我唔係咁睇)
3.修讀音樂系同埋係本地流行音樂界發展需要啲咩條件架？
4.另外，要係廣播界立足要啲咩條件架？要修讀什麼學科？是否必須於語文科表現優異、突出？
勞煩師兄們解答本人數之不盡，本人不勝感激！
本人已為這些問題煩惱很久了，煩請幫忙解答

1. According to ABRSM Syllabus, in order for a candidate to pass Grade 8 exam, the candidate must have Grade 5 in Music Theory.
In this case, I won't categorize you lack of Music Theory knowledge (Secondary school level is merely Grade 3 or lower). But I will say it is your best interest to get Grade 8 Music Theory anyway.
Also - audition is usually required for majoring in Music. So it is difficult to estimate your chance.
2. Music is a form of art. It is difficult to tell in your case. It is really based on your talent rather than education.
3. Connections.
4. Language-related majors, like Chinese.
