"我是來試聽的"的英文怎說?

I am coming for auditing.

"auditing" means "旁聽", I wonder it really matches the meaning of "試聽". In US, you can actually "audit" a class (still need to pay the course fee or tuition). It will show "audit" on the transcript.

Of course, you can ask permission from Professor to allow you to audit or sit-in, then you will NOT need to pay and will not show on the transcript.

最簡單說法:
May I join this(看是哪個課程) class for free?
可以=再繼續問可待多久?(表示尊重對方)
多謝! Then, how long may I stay?
整堂課=很高興致謝之

Can I = 你高他低~不好~
Could I = 他高你低~沒必要~
May I = 不卑不亢
也是有其他比較長的說法=要看版大大是否需要?
