想請問一個關於英文助動詞的問題（請英文高手回答）

To old man,Auxiliary verb will be followed by verb present.
(1)could(modal v)eg:-Could you hear "No change in present tense?"
(2)did(modal v)eg:-Why didn't you come for the weekend?
(3)might (modal v)eg:-You might not have noticed but I've put up a "no smoking" sign.
(4)should (modal v)eg:-You should learn to be more polite.
(5)would (modal v)eg:-They said they would meet us.

"simply not" 照字面是"不簡單地" 是adv. 可能是(知識長)是說 :問這問題不簡單.

跟隨在它們後面的動詞（verb）是否也要表示其過去式呢？
