1. Yes - no need to worry (one of the European well-known rental company).

2. Hertz or Avis - but they will cost more.

3. Transmission - in most of the case, you will get a car with manual. If you don't know how to drive a manual, remember to reserve one with automaitc (which costs more).

Also as general for rental car:

- Always check the exterior condition of the car (take pictures if possible). Rental car companies have ways to make you liable for damages that do not cause by you.

- Always fill up the tanks on your own - the price the companies charge are simply ridiculous

- Insurances are always optional. Check with your credit company and see if they offer anything (for example, American Express usually offers collision waiver to its cardmembers when using the cards for rental).

- Bring your own GPS. If needed, buy your own. You will be surprised how much it cost to rent one.
