及物動詞和不及物動詞

INTRANSITIVE VERB (不及物動詞) 沒有 object (賓語).

intransitive verbs 包括 verb of position (sit, stand, lie), verb of motion (come, go, fall)
Intransitive verbs cannot have a passive form.

We sit together.
~ sit是intransitive verb, We 是 subject (主語), 沒有 object

TRANSITIVE VERB (及物動詞) 一定有 object
Transitive verbs can usually have a passive form.

He loves her.
~ love 是 transitive verb, He 是 subject, her是object

She is loved by him. (passive voice)

問題是許多時侯 verb 可做 transitive verb 和 intransitive verb.
He called her Liz. ~ call (稱呼) 是 transitive verb
The train called at Canton. ~ call (停靠) 是 intransitive verb, Canton 不是object
I shall call tomorrow. ~ call (打電話) 是 intransitive verb

The rain stopped. ~stop 是 intransitive verb
He stopped the car. ~ stop是 transitive verb

She call. ~ 錯
She calls. She called. She will call. 是 correct. ~ call (打電話)

vi不及物動詞，意思係它不需要加任何受詞都可以成為完整意思。
例如：she smiles 她笑了。smiles完全能表達意思。
而vt及能動詞指它不能完整解釋句子。
例如 call
she call me honey. 當中call不能單獨完成一句完整意思，所以必須要受詞幫忙。
以第一句子中，she smiles for me , vi後可以加上修詞是可以的。
相反vt動詞則不能變she call 否則她叫什麼?^^希望能幫到你。
