The Effective Taxicab Driver Training Program is a 17-day program designed to prepare prospective taxicab drivers in the City of Toronto to meet the challenges and demands of the job professionally.

Program Prerequisites
In order to be eligible for the courses, individuals wishing to become taxicab drivers in the City of Toronto must:

be 18 years old; and
hold a valid Ontario Driver's License (Class G).

Registration
To register for this program you must attend the Municipal Licensing & Standards office in person. The course fees and first year licensing fees for 2012 are $601.23. The current waiting period for the course is approximately 4 weeks.
