UK immigration

After I have got the UK citizenship, if I move back to HK for a long period, can I still keep my UK citizenship? Or is it similar to Canada that I will lose my PR when I am not in UK but can still keep my citizenship and certainly get my PR again when I return to UK?

Many thanks!

1. Yes.

2. Canada is different. In additional to citizenship, Canadian has a so-called "residency" concept for the purpose of tax.

So a Canadian in Hong Kong is considered as a non-resident in the purpose of calculating Canadian income tax.

"Non-resident" concept only applies to tax. It has no impact in term of immigration rights.

The U.K. has never adopted something similar at all.
