Just keep nagging your solicitor, they are working for you, you are paying them (and the estate agents) Having exactly the same problem, 'didn't realise you wanted a quick sale' was one excuse - oh yes they did, we want a fast sale and the people buying ours do too, they want to get their son in school (originally after Easter holiday)they said but their solicitors missed some boundary issue,on their sale, which they are now waiting for the council to sort out, meanwhile the sellers of our purchase allegedly had a higher offer and accepted both causing a potential conract race (however the alleged offer was then withdrawn-our solicitor does not believe there was an offer, as the solicitor for the purchase knew nothing about it) Hoping that they resolve this boundary issue tomorrow (what we were told) other wise we are remarketing. Afraid the 'professionals' need a kick up the backside to get moving sometimes, not like you are paying peanuts is it? No advice on anxiety, it will happen, just phone them everyday and ask them what the hold up is (may make you feel a bit better) fingers crossed that you (and I) get some news soon! ours is not much chain at all, our buyers are selling to someone with nothing to sell in rented accom and our purchase is and has been empty 4 years, so just the ones in the middle causing delay.
