UK UNI COMPARISON (URGENT)

NEAR THE DEADLINE FOR REPLYING
CONSIDERING FOR 4 UNIS, PLX DUN TELL ME THINGS ABT RANKINGS, COS I'VE GOT THOSE INFO, BUT STILL CAN'T MAKE THE DECISION

I would like somebody (experienced), to have a brief comparison wif the following 4: York, Southampton, Newcastle, Liverpool

not for location, nor rankings, but my major concerns are abt the reputation, especially for HK employers, and also academic excellence

My friends are all voted for York, mainly because of its high ranking, and it's good at my subject
But for me, I think the course of Soton is more suitable for me
Newcastle and Liverpool, I think I would probably not considering them
Just several concerns:

1. Is York better than Soton in a large extent (as my fds said something like "of coz York"), or they are having similar reputation among HK employers?
2. Could I say that York and Southampton are better choices than Newcastle or Liverpool, in terms of reputation and academic excellence

>> 其實佢地2間都係差唔多既, 冇話係好大既分別 (即係唔似係oxford 同york 咁大分別), 而同時, soton 係出名science/engineering (個ranking 升緊), 同埋business 既, 而york 係humanities 就會好一d, 所以如果係呢個case 下, 我會建議你揀york, 因為york 同soton 既知名度都係差唔多, 係咁既case 下, 就會揀一間係讀humanities 比較出名既, 即係york了.

>> 係, 因為呢2間, 係hk 都會比起後2間多人聽過 (因為後而果2間, 係因為有足球隊先出名, 但係出名既係足球隊, 而唔係大學嘛= =), 所以如果可以揀, 我會揀york 之後soton, 如果真係要係newcastle 同liverpool揀, 我會揀liverpool... 因為學習氣氛比起newcastle 好既.
