it's cheaper to buy 1 tin of tuna (for $1.08) 6 times as buying that equals $6.48 but if you brought 6 tines for the price of 5 it would cost $6.50. but it is only a 2 cent price gap.

so the first deal is cheaper than the second deal by 1.48 dollars.
