I have been playing guitar for a year now. Am I still considered a begginer though ?

It really depends on what you have learned. Different people progress at different rates. Some people put a lot of time and hard work into their practicing, others slack off a lot.

Depends on how skilled you are and how much you play. I know people who played constantly and after a year, there were pretty good, definitely at an 'intermediate' level. People who only play occasionally, though, can still be a beginner after a year, since they don't practice as much.

trust me. someone who played guitar for more than two years is intermediate .

i would say you're not a beginner after five years.

you need to practice more.
