is walk-in fingerprinting available in SF USCIS office?

I filled out the N-400 form for the naturalization, and just received a letter from USCIS today, telling me the scheduled fingerprint date is on May 23, 2012. But I'm not able to make it on that day, and don't wanna delay the whole process.
So I'm wondering if I can go there like next week? (with my original letter and an evidence to prove I have a reason can't make it on 23) Do they accept walk-in fingerprinting? (250 Broadway st, SF)
Wanna find out if anyone did that successfully recently.
Please help. Thanks

No, you cannot do this. You will need to make another appointment.

you can try ..some peope have been lucky in my State
