Let the lowest mark be kso P(X < k ) = 97.5% = 0.975
P[(X - 7.9)/0.64 < (k - 7.9)/0.64] = P[Z < (k - 7.9)/0.64] = 0.975 = 0.5 + 0.475
From the table,
A[(k - 7.9)/0.64] = 0.475 = A(1.96)
So lowest standard score = 1.96
lowest mark = 1.96 x 0.64 + 7.9 = 9.1544
