How do I block a number on my iPhone 4S with Verizon?

I'd like to avoid receiving all text messages and phone calls from a specific number. I figure I should block this number, if that's possible. I have an iPhone 4S and my provider is Verizon. Please help!

go to my My account at: www.verizonwireless.com
There you will see Block Calls under I want to..... click on that button and you can block up to 5 numbers....it will last 90 days and you'll have to update it again.

If you go on to your myverizon account there's a tab where you can go in and fix that
