1 Sub.x = 0 into P(x) = - x - 25 +20e^(0.03x)

P(0) = -25 + 20 = -5 dollars (in thousands)

The loss is 5 thousand dollars

(b) P'(x) = -1 + 0.6exp(0.03x)

Let P'(x) = 0

-1 + 0.6exp(0.03x) = 0

x = 17.0275

So, when there is 17028 customers of the boutique on a day, the greatest daily profit will be attained.
