Normal everyday conversations - English learning, Please help?

Hi there,
One of the biggest problems that I have with English is that I don't know vocabulary in daily life.
Most of the vocabulary I have learned so far are academic English, (or I should say formal English)
I found that people don't really use them in normal conversation.
They use a lot of phrasal verb and short easy words in an informal way
, I can understand them but can't really use it.
How do I learn these phrasal verb and basic daily English quickly?
I want to learn informal English that I can really use them in normal conversations.
Thank you for any advice

Make some friends who are native speakers of English, maybe through a common hobby or just some people you knew from childhood/ school. By making friends, you would naturally socialize with these people, and subconsciously gain and use 'informal' English. Language is something that is subconscious, its extremely hard to learn a language by repetition, unlike maths or science. It requires daily use for you to be fluent in it, and thus the best way would be to make friends who you would be with daily and are native english speakers.

The best way to get good at something is to practice. As you point out, conversational English is much different from standard written English.

Find native English speakers, make friends with them and talk about everyday stuff. Talk about girls, boys, jobs and family in an informal setting. Remember, you won't learn this English in conventional classrooms. You have to be social and brave.

We offer a great service that would be of great use to you. We call it Spoken English, and it's available online, worldwide through Skype.
