To use "worth" related words to express dollar amount is better to use:

The book is worth $300.

here "worth" means "有(...的)價值, 值..."

"worthy of" means "值得的, 配得上的"

For examples:

He is worthy to receive such an award for his accomplishment.
The research is worthy of continuous support.

This book is only $30, it's a worthy book.

worthy是「值得的」的意思，主要應該改為「價值」worth(adj.)或者value(v.)

The book is worth $300.
或者
The book is valued at $300.
