When two unknown resistors are connected in series with a battery, the battery delivers 240 W and carries a total current

of 6.00 A. For the same total current, 70.0 W is delivered
when the resistors are connected in parallel. Determine
the value of each resistor.
then I calculated in the way below:
Let r and R be the resistances of the two resistors
P = (I^2)(Req)
240 = 36(R + r)
70 = 36Rr/(R + r)
But it ended up with no solution
So I want to see if there was anything wrong, or the question was wrong,

YOUR EQUATIONS WERE RIGHT.
IT CAME UP TO SOLVE THE EQUATION R^2-6.67R+12.96=0

HOWEVER, THIS EQUATION COULD NOT GENERATE THE RESULTS WITH REAL NUMBERS.
SO, THE QUESTION WAS WRONG.
THE RESISTORS WERE NOT EXIST.
