Please tell me which sentence is correct in the following sentences:

1 We do not like Sue. She often makes us waiting for hours,

2 We do not like Sue. She often makes us wait for hours.

"Wait" is a 'bare infinitive'.

makes us wait = make us (to) wait

The format: make someone do something
let someone do something

do is the infinitive without "to"

----is correct. "Waiting" is a participle,it is a verbal adjective qualifying pronoun "we",but retaining some properties of a verb.
