Studying in Australia, English problems?

Hi guys,
I came to Australia a month ago and I will be studying in Australia for 5 years.
I've been learning English for years but unable to speak properly or I should say unable to have a conversation with native speakers in a relaxing way.
I watch English videos, read news, listen to English music everyday to try to improve my English.
I wish I will be able to speak English fluently, if not as good as natives, 5 years later and perhaps in 2-3 years.
Is this possible? I need some sort of directions to guide my study.
Cheers

How you feel right now regarding your English is completely normal. It's actually how most people who have to start speaking a foreign language with native speakers feel.

You absolutely will improve your spoken fluency in English, the longer you spend in Australia. You're doing everything right, but what you need to add is much more conversation with native English speakers. It's one thing to listen to a new report - it's quite another to have to speak to someone about one!

One idea is to actually hire someone to, basically, "tutor" you in conversational English. What I mean is that you meet with the person a couple of times per week in a social setting - a coffee shop, or for lunch, etc. And you have a conversation with them for an hour each time. You (or the tutor) can set specific topics for each conversation, so you have something to focus on. But the point of the sessions is to get you speaking with a native speaker.

You can speak English naturally and fluently within 3 months. Do you believe that?

Let me give you some explanation:

First, it's from your method of learning I watch English videos, read news, listen to English music everyday". In this method, there is no time for "speaking".

Second, don't know what to talk about when you meet someone. It means you don't know how to create content for speaking and then you're so shy and feel hard to speak English out.

Solution:

1/ Learn to create content for speaking, then you can speak English with anyone about anything.

2/ Find an English speaker to practice English speaking with the above method in 3 months and you'll speak English naturally and fluently as you wish.

Wish this information helpful for you!

That's not a problem.Never think that you are unable to speak English. While talking to others, don't feel nervous and try to stay cool and just try to deliver what you want to ask them or tell them. You will definitely improve within an year.
All the Best Bro.
