It aims at providing students with a comprehensive and broad-based knowledge and skills in psychology. Specifically, the programme is designed to promote personal growth and self-understanding so that graduates can learn to better develop their full potentials and adapt to the fast-changing working and social environment. The programme also emphasizes how knowledge of Psychology can be applied in daily life and different fields like education, social and health care services, business and management and any professions that require working with people. It is also designed to equip students with the foundation knowledge in Psychology so that graduates are able to pursue further studies at Bachelor or higher level or a career in the field.Professional RecognitionStudents enroll in this Diploma Programme, may apply for "Student Membership", and those who have successfully completed the Programme may apply for "Junior Membership" of the Hong Kong Professional Counselling Association (HKPCA) respectively. Minimum Entry RequirementsA certificate offered by the School of Continuing Education (SCE) or equivalent; ORA certificate in Social Science or related disciplines offered by other institutions or equivalent; ORCompletion of Form 6 plus 5 years of work experience.
