what is meant by red meat?

does it mean that red meat no matter how cooked?
or is red meat that meat that is undercooked (i see red inside it)?

if i take a steak and cook it well done - is it still red meat?

red meat refers to tthe type of meat
pig cow are red meat
no if you cook it longer it is still red meat

lean meat
are meats such as chicken

when talking about red meat concerning diet, red meat generally refers to beef but may include most mammal meats except pork. Not a question of how much you cook it. Poultry and fish are white meat (I imagine reptiles are too).

Red meat refers to the color of the meat before it is cooked. It includes beef, sausage, even pepperoni.

When cooking it is the degree of rareness we use rather than colour
