It is given that the equation of circle C1 is x^2+y^2+4x-2y-59=0 and the centre of circle C2 is (1,5). If C2 lies inside C1 and the touch each other internally, find the equation of C2.

Ans :x^2+y^2-2x-10y+17=0

C1: x^2 + y^2 + 4x - 2y - 59 = 0

(x + 2)^2 + (y - 1)^2 = 59 + 5 = 64

The centre of C1 is (-2,1) and the radius is 8

The distance between O1 and O2 is 5

So, the radius of C2 is 8 - 5 = 3

The equation of C2

(x - 1)^2 + (y - 5)^2 = 3^2

x^2 + y^2 - 2x - 10y + 17 = 0
