What should I major in?

I want to be a physical therapist (PT), but in talking to a PT they told me not to major in pre- physical therapy so what should i do.

Pre PT is not really a major but a concentration just as pre med is. Your diploma will not say pre PT. Ask the school. It is ok to do but not neccessary. You can major in anything as long as you get the pre reqs completed. I would look at the national PT website under prospective students. That should answer all of your questions.

Dont listen to either of the above two answers. First, why would you not study pre-pt? I know many people who are currently studying pre-pt. It only makes sense to study PRE-pt in undergrad, and then study PT in grad... you should have asked the PT why you should major in pre-pt and what you should choose instead. Don't you think that would have been logical?
