how to install MSN to original windows vista?

i just reinstalled windows vista how basic. foe some reason it reintalled it as when it first cam out; no any updated file, then i tried to onstall MSN to my computer and it sayes to update my platform and my service pack. so i updated all the updates said in my camputer and it also installed the service pack. then it sayes to update my platform but i can't find any can you help me?
plz paste the links that i can reffer or download the actual platform update
