想買一本英文VOCABULARY書

Many people have an illusion that if only they can find a good vocabulary book, their English will get greatly improved. But there is no such book my friend. If there were, it would be already included in your English syllabus. Why wouldn't the schools welcome such a book to be their teaching material ?
Actually, you already have the book. It is not on your bookshelf nor in your school bag. It displays itself everywhere around you. It is in the newspaper you see, on the signs at the streets, the radio in the air, even the back of a MTR ticket, literally everywhere. If you open your eyes, you see them every day, every minute. Just look around and you can build up your vocabulary quickly. And those are really the most commonly used ones. Some are bad, learn why they are bad, some are good, learn why they are good. Somebody named Ssh posted a question here on Feb 15, titled "港鐵車票背面既款條文法問題" that is how we should learn. That is where the book is.
Have I answered your question ? Probably not.
Have I convinced you that you already have the book ? I don't think so.

So if somebody recommend you a book ? Don't buy. You are just making the book store owner and the publisher a litter bit richer and the book will be yet another book standing in your bookshelf.

Simply buy a dictionary with chinese meaning. You can also write down in a notebook whenever you see a word, which you do not know, after checking the meaning in a dictionary or yahoo's dictionary.
