wh問句 is/am/are 好似系被動句
do/does 就主動句

Check again with your teacher for your first sentence:

Where do they living? (wrong)
Compare above with: Where do you live? (see the difference?)

Either: Where do they live? (Correct) or
Where are they living? (correct).

*將答案改變成一條問題*
(1) Interogative pronouns疑問代詞, e.g. Who, What, Where, Why, When因為他們有獨特的含義，不難構成各種 question。

(2) 其他的句子，當其中有is/are/was/were 或auxiliary verb助動詞 e.g. ought, have, must, need，你可以反轉這些助動詞形成一條問題。

(3) 一些 regular verbs正規動詞如沒有其它助動詞，那麼你可以使用“do”或“did”，來組成 question 的提問。

當然，在你使用疑問代詞，以組成一個問題的時候，例如 Where do they live?
“do” 字後不用加“ing”;

而在 "is” 或“are” 後，則要加“ing” ，如:
Where are they living？
