@ DON'T CALL ME DUDE! I would play Shylock extremely sympathetically - he is never portrayed as an evil character in contemporary interpretations and in fact his initial idea of taking a pound of flesh is a joke his rage and anger is understandable and all performances of the Merchant of Venice portray Shylock as a rounded character with a genuine axe to grind. He is the victim
