_- Dramatic Art (RADA) in London and I am awaiting their result to hopefully be accepted on to a three month professional Shakespeare Acting course.

Here is my audition - feel free to comment:

1st speech: a museum curator waxes ecstatic about his adoration for the cannibalistic Black Widow spider
2nd speech: Shylock - The Merchant of Venice - Shakespeare
Shylock's initial refusal to lend Antonio money

@ DON'T CALL ME DUDE! I would play Shylock extremely sympathetically - he is never portrayed as an evil character in contemporary interpretations and in fact his initial idea of taking a pound of flesh is a joke his rage and anger is understandable and all performances of the Merchant of Venice portray Shylock as a rounded character with a genuine axe to grind. He is the victim

Excellent piece.

I particularly loved 2.13 and up [and the stark change in tone at 2.20].

In some places you remind me of Sean Connery and in some other places, Laurence Olivier.

You're veddy British -- much more so than I had thought of you as being.

The curator speech is quite excellently done.

I could not overcome my long-term personal revulsion at the whole Shylock play for long enough to make a proper judgment as to your craft and technique. Sorry, man.

EDIT: I understand that, I'm not blaming anyone or casting any asparagus across your path (wink) -- just explaining why I didn't express an opinion on that one. Hey, I'm human, things leave their mark on our psyches. I mean, my own mom wouldn't buy any German goods for seventy years after Anschluss.

Again -- you are a talented and skillful man. You deserve to win this.
