I didn't think so at the time. One of those things you overlook when you are getting married at a young age.
I missed out on college. Couldn't have afforded it at the time anyways...went to business school instead hoping to get out and get a job with tuition reimbursement. Things just didn't happen that way. I got the job, got married, got the house and then had a baby all within 4 years. I haven't pursued my education due to my husband being out of work (injury) then paying for his hospitalization (alcoholism) and keeping the house afloat while raising our daughter. What sucks now, is that HR people only look at resumes with college degrees so my last 16 years of work experience are apparently crap...and I still can't afford college.
All that said, I'm an Executive Administrative Assistant for a CFO at a hospital...earning good pay and have good benefits so I guess I could be worse off...
