Stock Dividend

1) There is no statutory requirement of dividend distribution to the shareholders. The mandatory requirement of results announcment of listed companies is every half year. Most of the companies will declare dividend together with the results announcement if there is no cash flow problem. In most of the countries, the results announcement requirement is on quarterly basis.

2) Last dividend declared by HSBC (3rd quarter) on 7 Nov 2011: 9 cents per share
