1.calculate the mass of 1 mole of I^- ??
2.A certain sample of calcium carbonate (CaCO3) contains 4.86 mol.
What is the mass of the CO3^2- ions present?

CO3^2- (^2- 咩意思?計算過程中有影響嗎?)
(I^-) 見到^- 可以點做??

✔ 最佳答案
1. The calculation is simple. Just as same as calculation of the mass of atom I.
The mass of I^- = 1 * molar mass of I = 1 * 126.9 = 126.9 g

2. CO3^2- is the ion present in the CaCO3, which the mass calculated is as same as above.
Since 1 mole of CaCO3 contains 1 mole of Ca^2+ and 1 mole of CO3^2-.
Then 4.86 mol of CaCO3 contains 4.86 mole of CO3^2-.
The mass of CO3^2- = 4.86 * (12 + 16*3) = 291.6 g

電荷對於calculation唔會有影響
有2個大原因
1. 電荷源於電子加減
電子mass只係proton/neutron既 1/1840
所以可以忽略

2. 我地都assume左 there are no change in mass when gain or loss e-
