Kimmy needs to put wrapping paper around a big shoe box. She measures the dimensions of the shoe box. The length is 30 centimeters, the width is 40 centimeters, and the height is 25 centimeters. How many square centimeters of wrapping paper does she need to cover the box?

2) Elena wants to choose the container to hold 64 cubic inches of sand. What are a possible length, width and height that will give her a volume of 65 cubic inches? Remember, LxWxH = Volume.

volume is LxWxH soo...25 (the height) x 40 (the width) x 30 (the lenght)= 30,000 sq cm.
find 3 numbers that multiply up to 65 like 5 times 5 times 2.6. because u need to find the volume

Amount of wrapping paper = surface area of the box = 2(30*40) + 2(30*25) + 2(40*25) =
2400 + 1500 + 2000 = 5900 cm^2

64 = 4^3
length = width = height = 4in
