Possible Miscarriage?? Please Help!?

So I have had a miscarriage before, but we're still not sure that that is what my friend Amber is going through. She's only 18 so she's scared to tell her parents. She passed something that was "squishy and like in a sack. It was pink and gray and tan." She said she got really bad bleeding and started running a fever and got dizzy when it happened. She had considered the possibility of being pregnant for 3 and a half weeks. Then missed her period for another week and a half before this happened. So she would have been 5 weeks along. But she took a test today and it came out negative. The possible miscarriage stuff happened yesterday. Is it possible that she miscarried with the negative test?

I think it might be possible. Tell her she should go to the hospital or doctor, or planned parent hood. If you have a miscarriage Im sure you need medical treatment. So try to help her through this as much as you can because she will probably need it.

No it was not a miscarriage at all and the proof would be the negative pregnancy test result. If your friend had miscarried then her hormone levels would still be high as they take a while to revert to normal after a miscarriage, this would have given her a positive test result.

You can get a negative right after a miscarriage- if she passed all the tissue, her beta may have dropped suddenly. I think once you've have the bleeding though, its impossible to tell if it was a miscarriage or just an abnormal period.
Since she was (maybe) only 5 weeks along, her hCG levels would not have been crazy high. So again, it is possible that it was a miscarriage, and her levels are now low enough that a test can't detect them.

Yes sounds like she might have miscarried, yes. Possibly because of low HCG levels, which is what made the test negative.
