(a) x + (1 - x)x = 0.84x^2 - 2x + 0.84 = 0
x = 0.6 或 x = 1.4 (rejected)
(b) P(hit the ball at least four attempts)
= 1 - x - (1 - x)x - (1 - x)^2x
= 1 - 0.6 - 0.24 - 0.096
= 0.064
