available 的用法

I asked them about / the types of vehicles they had / (which are) available.

斜線那邊的斷句 =>他們有的車子,後面省略了which are

which are available 是形容詞子句修飾前面的他們有的車子種類


第二句翻成中文的話會變成
他們有的可取得的車子種類

可是如果已經說有的車子 就表示可取得了
不然他們就說他們沒有這種車子就好
不用分成他們有的車子但是不可取得 和他們有的車子可取得
聽起來會像是廢話

In my opinion, a dealer might have the type of car as one of the cars they sell. However, they may not be available (on hand) at that time.

In a daily conversation, people said "are you available?". It means, whether or not you can offer the help? Hence, you do HAVE "you", but whether you are AVAILABLE is a question!

They had some vehicles available for us to use.這裡的形容詞available是受詞補語。had有［安排］的意思。

你的第二句有語意重複的現象，因為available自had後面移走後，they had的had就變成［擁有］的意思，與available是相同的意思。同時用來修飾vehicles，有點奇怪。應寫作: I asked them about the types of vehicles available.簡單明瞭。available在修飾名詞時，通常放後面。
