很多年以前已發覺，用松節水或天拿水做稀釋劑的油漆(oil based)，被密封器皿例如金屬罐或膠樽盛裝載，日子久了，器皿都會出現如圖所示的向內收縮現象。
這表示內裏的空氣被消耗了，是甚麼原因會消耗空氣呢？當我擰開蓋的時候，「斯」的一聲，樽、罐又回復原狀了，water based的油漆例如乳膠漆等則不會有此現象，何解呢？

這不是因為樽內空氣被消耗了 , 而是樽內之溶劑揮發走了 , 使樽內氣壓低過樽外 , 所以个樽咪凹左 .

I donot know what type of plastic your bottle is made of . I guess PE which may allow some of your paint solvent to get through quicker than the air outside of the bottle to get in . In this way there is a vacuum created inside so the pressure is lower . Then the bottle is pressed to be concave .
