People never learn - always focus on short-term?

These people will never learn. They always wish to do or have this or that. But, once they get or achieve them, then what? They will just look for another short-term fulfillment. Why can't they be long-term focused? I know life is short, but is life just only about enjoying? These people will leave nothing behind rather tangible or intangible to future generation when they die.

there`s a lot of arrogance flying about.(imho).
