Names: Anyone familiar with the name "Isake"? If yes, how is it pronounced?

It's not a version of Isaac in my experience. I've encountered it as a woman's first name.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks much for all the replies. I expected none at all. I too found little on the net. I've met the woman in person. She pronounced her name for us once or twice months ago. When people say it, they use different pronunciations. I'm embarrassed to ask her again. I've heard EE ssa kay and EE ssa way. Seems to be a translation of a name from a different writing system.

My research turned up little info of Isake as a FIRST name but lots of info as a SURNAME.

It's an Anglo-Saxon(English) surname commonly pronounced -ih-SAH-kee-

Good luck
-Sam

Never heard of it....
I googled it as a name and it does NOT come up.
Only a company that makes sake` comes up.
Where did you encounter it as a womans name?
A book?
Any other encounter would have given you the proper pronunciation.
The absolute closest I found was Ezachia which is basically pronounced like it looks with a hard "k" sound in the 'ch' spot. Ez-a-kia

Never heard, or seen, it before in my life..
But I'd guess it's prononouced 'I- sake', or 'Is-ake', or 'Eyes-a-key'
According to Google Translator, it's 'Eye-sock-ee'
:)
