A x B gives the normal vector of one plane. C X D gives the normal vector of another plane. Angle between the 2 normal vectors is the angle between the 2 planes. Thus, cos (the angle) = (A x B) dot (C x D)/[(magnitude of A x B)(magnitude of C x D)].
