why do you like anime?

I have been watching this stuff since I was 6 or 7 years old. More then 10 years, back when Dragonball Z and Sailor Moon was on the WB, with a really bad dub and had the episodes played out of order each week. Seriously it was before anime was popular and then didn't understand that they needed to play each episode in order. All this time I have been asking myself the same question and have come up with some answers.

1.) More original concepts, You really don't get shows with Death Note's premese on TV
2.) It has a begining, middle, and an END. If you want to tell a story, you need to write an end.
3.)Its characters are more developed. The characters grow and change and have character flaws that they need to over come.
4.) I like a continuesous storyline. Repeating the same episode again and again is so boring.
5.)They have worthwhile themes, like the valua or freindship and the power of love....What is the Kardasions or the Jersey Shore promoting??
6.) I really think they send more time on makeing an inticate interlocking storyline.
7.) Many anime fit into multiple genera, as in they are not one note wounders. One Piece can fit into all of these generas: Comedy, Drama, Action, and mystery. Not a lot of American TV shows can say the same thing.
8.) They have a really good sence of humor. Oda is constantly making fun of his characters and they even make the Japanese vioce cast sing songs for the anime: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2v7Tes8uuw&feature=related (That is Kotetsu and Bunny singing a chacter song for Tiger & Bunny, Kotetsu also does the vioce for Sanji in One Piece)

So those are a few, but I know there are more too.

2 most of the guy characters are hot
3 its way better than cartoons
4 its interesting
5 i can discuss it with my friends

I like anime is because I do. Not straight forward answer but it's the truth. I fine it's exciting, sad and many more things. I just really like and love watching it.... The same thing going to reading manga as well! I just like anime because I enjoy it!

i like dbz, soul eater, and love bleach hahaha
but im not really a hardcore anime fan but i like anime cause it brings action, some good laughs, characters with awesome and complex personallity's, and GREAT STORY LINE (bleach).

I really love good art (:, and it seems the emotions on the characters seem obvious, unlike some actors don't show their emotions. Also the effects and sometimes chibi animation are added in it adds lots of comedy and laughter and even cute-ness. Unlike in real life acting are normally really serious and no super natural skills at all except for Super man etc. Also having good art makes most of the characters all "good looking" and "hot" but in drama etc, sometimes the actors may be really "ugly" and not appealing at all, causing people to maybe lose interest.
Anime also has lots of different sub titles such as, shounen, shoujo, supernatural, Sci-fi, Schol life, Reverse harem, harem, yaoi, yuri, smut, eechi. Etc (not saying regular drama;s don't) but overall i'd say anime is much more appealing both stories and images.

hmm...it's funny and makes me lmao.
It sometimes make me wonder about life itself
It gives me different kinds of plot that seems exciting or suspenseful
It relieves my stress for some reason and makes me happy
It makes me shed tears sometimes (which doesn't really happen to me in actual real life)
I can say it's somewhat better than television (idk why)
It made me gain new interesting friends
The music and AMVs of anime sounds beautiful for some reason

so yea...why do you think I love anime?

Because I love animation, but I have given up on Western animation, since Family Guy is worth billions, which I find disgusting. Because I like the comedy style found in many of the series I have seen, the kind of jokes that aren't very common in Western shows.

I like anime because some are able to meld the different aspects I find interesting:
drama: while not being too cheesy or melodramatic, but still emotional and very true,
action:emotionally engaging and not action for action's sake,
imaginative: characters/artwork are unique and better than the American equivalent,
inspiring: themes that are universal, simple, but expanded upon to make them complex humor.
I also enjoy the plot, themes as well as the characterization, fore shadowing, and interesting endings.

I just love it because it's like another world that you wish you could be in. It's where imaginations run rapid. It takes away your everyday worries and it gives you something to talk about with your friends.

Because most of the anime shows are intended for mature audiences only, it contains graphic violence.
