Q1. A swimming pool, 10m by 4m, is filled with water to a depth at 3m at a temperature of 20.2 degree C. How much energy is required to raise the temperature of the water to 27C?
I have the energy ans 3.41e9. I Need help to resolve the following question?

If the energy needed to raise the temperature of the water to 27C is obtained from the combustion of Methane (CH4), what volume of Methane, measured at STP must be burned?

Delta H combustion for CH4 = -891KJ.Mol
Volume CH4 needed = ? L

10X4X3 = 120 m^3 = 1.2 X 10^5 L = 1.2 X 10^8 mL = 1.2 X 10^8 g H2O

q = m c (DT) = 1.2X10^8 g X 4.184 J/gC X 6.8 C = 3.41X10^9 J = 3.41 X 10^6 kJ

3.41 X 10^6 kJ / 891 kJ/mol = 3.83X10^6 mol CH4 required

At STP, 1 mol of any gas occupies a volume of 22.4 L so

V CH4 = 3.83X10^6 mol X 22.4 L/mol = 8.58X10^7 L
