ive been doing track for 2 weeks now so I'm always exercising and working out but now I can't control my eating. I eat way more now than I ever have and maybe thats because I'm exercising more than I ever have but I also drink at least 4 bottles of water a day . since starting track I've gained 5 pounds and I need help and advice for how to control myself.
Please help I feel out of control.
Thanks.

It's only natural to eat more when you exercise; I do the same thing.
I gained a couple pounds once, but that was only after weeks of exercising, and weight gain was attributed to muscle. Are you sure you aren't gaining muscle?
Anyways, just make sure you eat healthy. Don't eat junk food if you're seriously overeating.

The best advice to you is eat as long as you are hungry and active. I had been working out regularly and sometimes I just take a week of break, but the body is still burning a lot of energy even if you take a week of break. You have to stop working out for a long period of time before you feel like changing eating habit. I feel leaner than I ever had been and probably gained 10 lbs since I didn't do anything. If you are that concerned, try to eat healthy and eat fresh food at home. I am not a super healthy person so I just eat whatever and keep exercising. Feeling hungry means you are healthy and you should appreciate the fact that you are eating.

BUT there's a limit of how much you want to watch your eating habit. I used to run cross country and at first I felt great, but after awhile I self-controlled too much to a point when I started losing tons of weight and I think I had eating disorder back then. Now I am fine though thank goodness. So you should enjoy exercising while eating what you like.

Since you are damanding more from your body, you'll have to give it more. Your body needs the extra calories to build the muscle you need for this strenuous activity. And remember, muscle weighs more than fat or flab. Stick to a good balanced diet and don't allow yourself junk food and you'll be fine. If you fail to intake enough calories, you'll get thin and sick. It's all good hon. Oh, but if you should stop track, make yourself eat less...or you will get fat. Think of your body like a car. The more you drive the more gas and oil you have to put in. Food is fuel for your body so it will run correctly without breaking down.
