(a) Use light of higher frequencies (i.e. shorter wavelength).

(b)(i) This is given by the x-intercept, which is 3 x 10^14 Hz
(ii) This is given by the y-intercept, which is 1.2 eV

The line shown in fig (b) follows the equation,
KE = hf - w
where KE is te kinetic energy of emitted electrons
h is Planck's Constant
f is the frequency of light used
w is the work function of the surface
