Retailers are going to the places that manufacture with the lowest prices, ie Asia, Africa. The prices are lower because:

1. Lower labor rates, some less than $10 per day.
2. No OSHA, little or health insurance, and no Workman'ss comp
3. No EPA, few or no enforced environmental rules
4. Little or no press to report on conditions
