Draw a standard enthalpy cycle of formation of calcium carbonate.

reaction included:
1. calcium + hydrochloric acid
2. calcium carbonate + hydrochloric acid
更新1:

If I want to find the standard enthalpy change of the calcium carbonate. 1. Heat released = m x c x ( temperature change). Is m represents mass of HCl? 2. standard enthalpy change = heat released / mol. Is mol represents the no. of moles of HCl?

Standard enthalpy change of formation of the calcium carbonate cannot be directly found from experiment. Only Hess's Law could help. So calculation of heat change cannot be directly applied here.

Sometimes, in exam, the enthalpy change of delta H1, H2 and H3 should be provided. Otherwise, calculation of delta Hf is not possible.
