您好,我是 lop,高興能解答您的問題。

He bought the sport shoes for :

350 ÷ 35% + 350
= 350 × 100/35 + 350
= $1350

Answer : He bought the sport shoes for $1350 .

correction of 001 :

we should not plus 350 because the answer should be the cost price , so

He bought the sport shoes for :

350 ÷ 35%
= 350 × 100/35
= $1000

Answer : He bought the sport shoes for $1000 .

Let $n be the cost of Brian's sport shoes.
nx 35%=350
0.35n=350
n=350/0.35
n=1000
$1000 is the cost of Brian's sport shoes.

Please do it step by step

Let B be Brian spend originally on a pair of sport shoes
Selling Cost: B + 350
Brian's selling cost make a profit of 35%: B(1+35%)
B x (1+35%) = B + 350
1.35B = B + 350
1.35B - B = 350
0.35B = 350
B = 1000

Should be this answer:

Profit = 35% = $350
So cost = 100% = $350/35% = $1000

So he bought the sport shoes for $1000.
