(a) when the profit per cent is reduced to 10% , (已知答案 $55)
(b) when the item now makes a loss of 15%. (已知答案 $42.5)

The selling price is :
60 ÷ (1+20%)
= 60 ÷ 120%
= 60 ÷ 120/100
= 60 × 100/120
= $50
(1a)
The selling price is :
50 × (1+10%)
= 50 × 110%
= $55
Answer : The selling price is $55 .
(1b)
The selling price is :
50 × ( 1 - 15%)
= 50 × 85%
= $42.5
Answer : The selling price is $42.5 .
